Blake Shelton is teaming up with his longtime girlfriend Gwen Stefani and his friend Trace Adkins to bring fans an exclusive drive-in concert on July 25.
Hosted in conjunction with the production company Encore Live, the one-night-only event will feature brand new performances filmed exclusively for the drive-in show. The drive-in concert experience will also include interviews and storytelling from Shelton, Stefani and Adkins.
“This is such a great way to enjoy music with your family and friends and stay safe,” Shelton shared in a release. “I’m excited we’re getting the chance to perform a concert for fans and we’re going to go back and play old hits like ‘Austin,’ newer songs like ‘God’s Country’ and we might even introduce something brand new! So fill up those popcorn tubs and get ready for some country music!”
The performance will air at drive-ins around the U.S. and Canada and will cost $114.99 per vehicle.
Much like the drive-in Garth Brooks concert that took place in late June, drive-ins will comply with CDC guidelines to ensure fans attending the event are following local and state guidelines. According to a release, there will be contactless payment options for concessions and limited capacity in all restrooms.
“After the overwhelming response to Garth Brooks’ drive-in concert feature, we knew we had to launch Encore Drive-In Nights to provide music fans across the USA and Canada the chance to see their favorite artists in a cool new way,” Encore Live founder and CEO Walter Kinzie said in a release. “We can’t wait to bring music’s biggest stars to outdoor movie screens all across North America so that people can get back out there again and safely enjoy engaging in in-person experiences.”
Tickets go on sale on July 14. Click HERE to view a list of participating drive-ins.
