Blake Shelton Brings Gwen Stefani To Tears With Heartfelt Dedication At Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony: ‘The Perfect Person’

Today (October 19), Gwen Stefani was moved to tears after receiving a long overdue star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, combined with a celebration that was nothing short of spectacular.
Sharing seven photos from the occasion via Instagram, which confirmed that her husband Blake Shelton and her sons Kingston, Zuma and Apollo were in attendance, the three-time GRAMMY Award-winner wrote, “what a dream !! thank u SO much @hwdwalkoffame + @warnerbrostv + Irving Azoff, Jimmy Iovine, and of course, @blakeshelton 🤍🙏 who would have thought this girl from Anaheim would have her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame 🌟 thank u for walking this journey with me, singing with me all these years… i love u !!!”
She Was Honored With The 2,764th Star
Shelton also took to Instagram to share the exciting news, captioning an adorable family photo from the function, “If you look up star in the dictionary you’d see @gwenstefani‘s picture.
Congratulations Gwen on receiving your very well-deserved @hwdwalkoffame star today. I’m so proud of you always.”

Receiving the 2,764th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, numerous celebrities were in attendance to congratulate the No Doubt singer on the once-in-a-lifetime achievement, including fellow The Voice coach Reba McEntire – it was truly a remarkable day for the pop-punk princess!
“Pride and Joy of California”
“Gwen Stefani is the pride and joy of California! Not only is she an acclaimed singer/songwriter and performer, Gwen is also a talented fashion designer and cosmetics mogul,” producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Ana Martinez praised just moments before Shelton delivered a speech that moved his wife to tears.
To begin his oration, the country crooner reflected on the first time he and Gwen had interacted with one another, meeting on The Voice back in 2014.
An Emotional Dedication
“She wasn’t like any other famous person that I had ever met before,” the “God’s Country” singer prefaced, before diving into how Gwen has always had one priority that is so much bigger than being in the spotlight.
“She drove herself to work in a black minivan with car seats in it. She didn’t roll in with security. She came in with a baby and two little boys, which at the time worked like security because nobody was going near her. It was chaos,” Shelton joked.
“It was clear to me that she was a mother first and foremost over anything else in the world. That was her number one job, and now standing here almost 10 years later after I first met her, I can say without question that being a mother is still the most important thing in her life… That’s rare in this business,” he continued, ultimately causing his wife to become emotional.
To continue his heartwarming speech, the country hitmaker began to explain how proud he is of Stefani for being honored for her “side project,” which is being one of the biggest names in the music industry and beyond.
“In my opinion, Gwen is the perfect person to receive a star on the Walk of Fame from music, television, and movies to fashion and beauty. She has risen to the top over and over again with her unique style that has made the world fall in love with her,” the Oklahoma native dished.
After gushing about his seemingly perfect wife for a few more minutes, with an emphasis on her superb songwriting skills, Shelton concluded, “Congratulations to my all time favorite songwriter on your star. You deserve this, and I love you.”
Wiped Away Tears
Pulling her husband in for an embrace, Stefani was wiping tears from her eyes with a tissue – it is clear that his speech really hit home!
