Blake Shelton, Luke Combs, Kane Brown, Maren Morris and more are among the country artists nominated at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards.
Following the forced postponement of the 2020 Billboard Music Awards, Billboard has announced that the show will be taking place on October 14 at 8 p.m. EST, live from Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on NBC. Kelly Clarkson is returning as the host of the show.
The 2020 Billboard Music Awards were originally scheduled to take place in Las Vegas on Wednesday, April 29, but were forced to be postponed due to the ongoing pandemic.
On Tuesday (Sept. 22), The nominees were announced for the 2020 Awards show, which you can see the full list of below. It was previously announced that Garth Brooks would be receiving the coveted Icon Award during the show. Brooks, a 19-time Billboard Music Award winner, is one of only nine artists to ever receive the prestigious award, following Cher, Neil Diamond, Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey.
Shelton is up for Top Country Song and the all-genre Top Selling Song award for his single “God’s Country.” Combs is nominated for Top Country Artist, Top Country Male Artist, Top Country Album as well as the fan-voted Billboard Chart Achievement Award category. Brown is nominated for Top Country Artist, Top Country Male Artist and Top Country Album. Meanwhile, Morris is the most-nominated female country artist with nods in Top Country Artist, Top Country Female Artist, Top Country Album, Top Country Song categories.
Dan + Shay are the most nominated country duo with nominations for Top Country Artist, Top Country Duo/Group and Top Country Song as well as all-genre Top Duo/Group.
