Chart-topping country superstar Blake Shelton is joining forces with Ryman Hospitality Properties to bring a new Ole Red location to the Nashville International Airport at the beginning of 2022.

Inspired by the singer’s hit song “Ol’ Red,” Ole Red has proven to be a hot spot for food and entertainment.

Shelton is thrilled to announce the newest location.

“It’s Blake here and I’m very, very excited to announce that Ole Red will be opening a brand new location in early 2022 at the Nashville International Airport,” Shelton gushed in a video clip shared to Instagram.

In true Shelton form, he closed his video with a joke, telling fans that with a new Nashville airport location, it’s “guaranteed some of you people are going to be missing your flights.”

“We have long believed in the bold vision set forth by the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority for their expansion, which is designed to accommodate Nashville’s surging tourism demand,” Colin Reed, chairman and CEO of Ryman Hospitality Properties, shared in a press release. “We believe having an Ole Red location in this redesigned space is an extraordinary billboard opportunity for the Ole Red brand and all of what downtown Nashville has to offer. We look forward to working alongside Fraport USA to bring Ole Red to the airport.”

“Our new concessions program celebrates the best of Music City,” Matt Jennings, vice president of Fraport Tennessee, added. “It’s exciting to announce plans for Ole Red’s new restaurant and live music venue in our busiest concourse. Ole Red and a Grand Ole Opry-themed retail shop will bring that Nashville Lower Broadway flavor and flair travelers are looking for.”

Ole Red BNA is only one of the many upcoming dining and shopping options that are part of the Nashville International Airport’s $1.4 billion expansion plan set to accommodate a whopping 23 million passengers come 2023. Located in the C Terminal, the 5,500-square-foot venue is set to have 190 seats, concert-quality sound and the biggest stage in the airport, making it the largest single operation in the airport. With live music daily, customer favorites from the Ole Red menu, location-specific specialties and a Grand Ole Opry-themed retail shop, passengers will have no choice but to check out the new location after its grand opening.

Shelton shared his excitement for the expansion in a recent statement. “Folks from around the world come to Nashville lookin’ to have a good time and hear some of the best live music around, and now you can make it double with the Nashville airport venue! I’m excited to give visitors the best fun, food and music like only Ole Red can provide while they wait for their flight.”

The newest location in the Nashville International Airport will be an addition to the four existing Ole Red locations in Orlando, Florida; Tishomingo, Oklahoma; Nashville, Tennessee; and Gatlinburg, Tennessee. For more information, visit the Ole Red website here.
