Bobby Bones & The Raging Idiots
Bobby Bones & The Raging Idiots just released a song about one of America’s favorite retailers and it’s a total earworm.
Destined to get stuck in your head, “The Target Song,” details one of the biggest mistakes one can make when shopping at the retail giant: stepping into the store wearing a red shirt and khakis.
“I needed food for my labrador/ So I went down to my favorite store/ I didn’t think about the clothes I wore/ but I learned a hard lesson, that’s for sure,” Bones sings in the opening lines of the song.
Eddie Garcia chimes in for the chorus, which finds the pair singing, “Don’t go shopping at Target with khaki pants and a red shirt on…”
Co-written by Bones and songwriter Jim Beavers (Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan), “The Target Song” follows Bobby Bones & The Raging Idiots’ previous hits like “Hobby Lobby Bobby” and “The Emoji Love Song.”
“The Target Song” is the lead release from an upcoming live comedy album.
