Bobby Bones, American Idol mentor and reigning Dancing with the Stars champion, has been teasing plans to appear on a television show for months. Earlier this week, he told fans that he would finally reveal which show he’s going to be on once he hit one million followers on Instagram.

His fans and loyal listeners of the syndicated The Bobby Bones Show, pulled through, so he fulfilled his promise and revealed that he would soon be appearing on Running Wild with Bear Grylls on National Geographic.

For those unfamiliar with the show, it stars famed survivalist Bear Grylls, who “takes A-list celebrities on journeys into the wildest locations around the world, forcing the stars to push their bodies and minds to the limit to successfully complete the adventure of a lifetime.”

The show, now in its fifth season, has previously featured Hollywood A-listers like Kate Hudson, Channing Tatum, Zac Efron and Julia Roberts. President Barack Obama appeared on season two in a special episode as well.

The upcoming season will premiere this fall and feature Bones as well as stars like Captain Marvel’s Brie Larson and Call Me By Your Name’s Armie Hammer.

Bones is currently in the midst of the It’s Just The Two Of Us (…Sorry) Tour with his musical comedy band Bobby Bones & The Raging Idiots. Details about the tour can be found HERE.
