Just days ahead of their much-anticipated tour, Brantley Gilbert and Jelly Roll released a brand new collaboration: “Son Of The Dirty South.”

The song blends the artists’ country/rock/hip-hop influences and finds Gilbert and Jelly Roll sharing their love for the South and everything associated with it.

Lyrics include, “I’m from a place where they mix rock, country and hip hop/ Somewhere between Hank, Three 6 and Kid Rock/ Johnny Cash all black, it’s that old school flavor/ Sippin’ somethin’ rippin’ more lines than notebook paper/ Outlaw spirit my middle finger stuck up again, bad boy/ We all know good women love troubled men/ Got that music cranked loud/ We won’t turn shit down/ Peaceful people but believe it we gon’ burn shit down…”

“I had a blast working on this one with Jelly,” Gilbert shares. “We’ve been itching to write together for a while now, and we had a lot of fun putting it together. You don’t always get to record a song with your co-writers, so to hop in the studio with him too was a real treat.”

“Brantley is already one of my favorite artists, and we got to write this song together and release it to the fans ahead of our tour starting,” Jelly Roll adds. “I really can’t wait to get out on that stage with Brantley and perform it live this summer. Get ready.”

Brantley Gilbert and Jelly Roll will embark on the Son of The Dirty South Tour kicking off next Thursday, June 30 in Jacksonville, Florida. The trek includes five dates and will make stops in various cities through August 27.

Tickets for the tour are on sale at now at BrantleyGilbert.com.
