Brantley Gilbert will soon be a father of two as his wife Amber is 35 weeks pregnant with their baby girl. While the couple is as ready as ever for their new addition to arrive, their 20-month-old son, Barrett, isn’t quite sure what to think.
“I don’t think he knows exactly what the deal is,” Gilbert shares. “Like I can ask him where she is and he’ll go to Amber and he’ll point to her tummy. And you know, I’ll tell him to take me to sissy’s room and he’ll take me down there and he’ll tell me whose bed it is.”
Even though Barrett knows “something’s up,” Gilbert is preparing for his world to get “turned on its head” come September 18 when their baby girl is expected to arrive.
The Georgia native is going to have his hands full both personally and professionally this fall. On top of the arrival of his baby girl, the singer/songwriter will also be in the midst of headlining his Not Like Us Tour. On October 4, Gilbert will release his much-anticipated new album, Fire & Brimstone, and in November, he’ll set sail on his Second Annual Kick It in the Ship cruise.
Brantley Gilbert’s current single, “What Happens in a Small Town,” featuring Lindsay Ell, continues to climb the charts at country radio.
