Fans are losing their minds over this Carrie Underwood news.
Carrie Underwood, Denim & Rhinestones
Carrie Underwood surprised fans early Thursday morning with the announcement of her much-anticipated new album, Denim & Rhinestones, releasing on June 10.
The superstar revealed the news directly with her social media followers alongside the stunning new album cover.
“I can’t wait any longer!! I have a new album coming June 10! Get ready for #DenimAndRhinestones! Pre-order beginning at midnight ET! ”
Fans flocked to the comments section of Underwood’s posts to share their excitement.
“Yaaaaaaaaay!!!!! 😍 OMG! Best news EVER!!!!! Can’t wait!!,” wrote one social media user, while another added, “Yay!!!! I’m soooo excited can’t wait and I love the name ”
The news comes on the heels of Underwood’s eighth career GRAMMY Award win when she took home the Best Roots Gospel Album trophy for her faith-based project, My Savior.
The Oklahoma native had jaws dropping during the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards when she took the stage for a soaring performance of her brand new single, “Ghost Story.”
The haunting song dropped in mid-March and serves as the lead single off the upcoming project.
The track is unlike anything fans have heard from the superstar as “Ghost Story” takes a new spin on a revenge song.
“Instead of smashing headlights, this scorned lover is letting her ex know that she will continue to haunt him no matter how hard he tries to forget her,” Underwood previously explained of the tune, which was co-written by Josh Kear, Hillary Lindsey and David Garcia and co-produced by Garcia and Underwood.
Denim & Rhinestones is the follow-up to 2018’s Cry Pretty. Since then, Underwood also released a Christmas album, My Gift, in 2020, and a Gospel album, My Savior, in 2021.
Carrie Underwood recently wrapped another sold-out run of her REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency at the Resorts World Theatre. She’ll return to Sin City for her next engagement on May 11-21.
On April 30, the mother of two will head to Indio, California to headline the legendary Stagecoach Festival.
