Dolly Parton has been forced to postpone her upcoming run of Las Vegas concerts due to “health challenges.”

The country music icon shared the news with fans in a heartfelt message on social media Sunday afternoon. She explained that she will need to undergo “a few procedures,” which will prevent her from having the proper time to prepare for the shows. As a result, all concerts have been rescheduled to September 2026.

This announcement follows Parton’s missed appearance at Dollywood earlier this month due to a kidney stone that caused her “a lot of problems.”

“Turned out it’d given me an infection,” Parton explained in a video to fans. “And the doctor said, ‘You don’t need to be traveling right this minute, so you need a few days to get better.’”

It’s unclear if her current “health challenges” are connected to that incident.

See Parton’s full message regarding Las Vegas below.

“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts. As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my hundred thousand mile checkup, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon! In all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you. Well I’ll still be able to work on all of my projects from here in Nashville, I just need a little time to get show ready as they say. And don’t worry about me quitting the music business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe he is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you. I love you and thank you for understanding.”

Dolly: Live in Las Vegas was originally scheduled for six shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from December 4–13, coinciding with the National Finals Rodeo.

The concerts have now been rescheduled to run September 17–26, 2026. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new dates, and refunds will be available for fans unable to attend.

“To say I’m excited would be an understatement,” Parton previously shared. “I haven’t worked Vegas in years and I’ve always loved singing there. I’m looking so forward to the shows in The Colosseum at Caesars and I hope you are as well. See you there!”

The 2026 concert series will honor seven decades of Dolly Parton’s legendary career, showcasing hits such as “9 to 5,” “Jolene,” “Coat of Many Colors,” “I Will Always Love You,” and more. Marking her first extended Las Vegas residency in more than 30 years, the shows are set to offer fans a rare chance to see one of the world’s most iconic performers in an unforgettable setting.
