A “serious security threat” has forced the cancellation of Ella Langley’s concert scheduled for tonight at BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Langley was set to take the stage Friday, October 9, as part of her Dandelion Tour, but the show was called off just hours before the performance.

Langley issued a statement via her official social media accounts, announcing the cancelation of the show.

IMPORTANT SHOW UPDATE

Due to a serious security threat involving the safety of fans, venue personnel, and the artist, Ella Langley’s scheduled performance tonight at BOK Center in Tulsa has been canceled.

The safety and well-being of everyone involved is our absolute priority, and after careful consideration, we have determined that the show cannot proceed. We understand the disappointment this news brings and apologize to fans who planned to attend. The safety of fans is our foremost concern and will always come first.

Additional information and details regarding ticket refunds will be shared as soon as possible. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize the safety of all involved.

Kameron Marlowe and Laci Kaye Booth were slated to open the show.

Langley later added a personal message to fans, writing, “I know how much time, travel, money, and planning goes into coming to a show, and I can’t tell you how sorry I am. This is not a decision that was made lightly. I was so looking forward to spending tonight with you, but your safety will always mean more to me than anything else. I refuse to put anyone in harm’s way.”

The BOK Center also shared the update. Comments on the venue’s post have been limited. The news came around 4:37 pm. According to the official BOK Center website, doors were set to open just over an hour later at 6:00 pm local time.

UPDATE (5:22 pm CT)

According to News 9, Tulsa police stated that that was a “false bomb threat.” The outlet reports that officers conducted a preliminary sweep of the building with K-9 officers and found “no indication of a threat.”

Tulsa police clarified that they did not recommend canceling the concert at BOK Center, according to News 9.

The venue said the decision came after careful consideration, stressing that the safety of fans, staff and the artist remains its top priority.
