Miranda Lambert took home the GRAMMY award for Best Country Album and performed her chart-topping single “Bluebird” during the 2021 GRAMMYs.
Virtually announced on Sunday, March 14, from the small Nashville, Tenn. venue called The Station Inn. The Station Inn owner J.T. Grey presented Lambert with the GRAMMY for Best Country Album for Wildcard. While accepting the coveted award, Lambert thanked her husband Brendan McLoughlin, her team, band and crew and most importantly her fans, while also shouting out the fellow female country artist nominated alongside her.
“I feel like holding this right now, I’m holding this for all of us, especially us girls,” Lambert said. “Thanks to my family, my husband [Brendan], my manager Marion Kraft, my band and crew, I miss the hell out of y’all and I can’t wait to get back out with the fans. I love you so much, thank you.”
Following her big win and incredible performance, Lambert’s husband Brendan penned the superstar a sweet message on Monday, March 15 via his Instagram. “I could not be more proud of this wonderful woman I get to call my wife,” McLoughlin gushed. “Last night you continue to show the world how being true to yourself rewards you.”
The former New York City Police Officer admits that he thoroughly enjoyed watching Wildcard come to fruition. Continuing to share that the GRAMMY win for the record was just the icing on the cake. He also added that he cannot wait to see what comes next for Lambert, as he is excited to be a part of it.
“Watching this album go from being just a thought to celebrating your Grammy victory was magical. I cannot wait to be a part of the future magic you create,” McLoughlin added.
