Kelly Clarkson covered Faith Hill and Shelby Lynne’s “Keep Walkin’ On” during her latest The Kelly Clarkson Show episode as part of her ‘Kellyoke’ segment on Monday, March 15.
The performance featured the Texas native singing the popular country anthem while backed by her band and a backup singer. With her impressive vocals on full display, Clarkson delivered a spirited cover of the song, once again proving she can sing just about anything.
“Well in this world of sorrow, trouble and temptation / Jesus always promised trial and tribulation / Then He said, “You don’t have to fret or fear/ Children, be of good cheer and keep walkin’ on / Children, keep walkin’ on, keep walkin’ on / Keep walkin’ on, keep walkin’ on,” Clarkson sings.
“Keep Walkin’ On” was co-written by Karen Staley and Tricia Walker . The 1995 hit appears on Hill’s second studio album, It Matters To Me.
