Ahead of the September 13 release of his The Acoustic Sessions EP, country hitmaker Brett Young is taking fans inside the recording studio with a brand new stripped-down version of his song “Chapters” featuring his co-writer and longtime friend Gavin DeGraw.
In the recently-released clip, Young and DeGraw are seen recording the track at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, TN. The friends even joke around with each other before their stripped-down performance. See their performance of “Chapters” in the video above.
“Chapters,” is a song is deeply personal and autobiographical for Young.
“This song is so special to me, it’s exactly my life,” the soon-to-be father shared in a release. “Getting to revisit and retool it with Gavin was a really cool experience, especially now that I’m in an exciting new stage of my life. I hope the fans feel like they can relate to it too and enjoy the new spin we put on it!”
The Acoustic Sessions EP will include stripped-down versions of five tracks from Young’s chart-topping album, Ticket To L.A.
Young’s latest single, “Catch,” is at country radio now.
