Brian Kelley – American Spirit
Brian Kelley salutes the red, white, and blue in his brand new single, “American Spirit.”
“‘American Spirit’ is a tribute to my Poppy and Uncle Mike who both served, and to all of our service members and first responders who keep us safe and free – past, present, and future,” Kelley shared upon the track’s release. “I love our great country and will always support our brave defenders.”
Kelley co-wrote “American Spirit” alongside Blake Redferrin and Canaan Smith. He also co-produced with Jake Rose.
The track is a celebration of the U.S.A with lyrics like:
Oh, in every big city in all the small towns
Hats come off when the flags come out
Every mom-and-pop shop is flyin’ ‘em proud
Because you can’t take down
American spirit, that red, white and blue
It’s flyin’ for freedom for me and for you
It’s what I believe in, this country I love
That American spirit runs in our blood
This week, the Florida native, who originally rose to fame as one half of Florida Georgia Line, is bringing the song to life with a patriotic new music video.
Directed by Ben Christensen, scenes of the video were captured during the annual Grayton Beach, Florida Independence Day Parade.
“We wanted to capture the energy and spirit of Fourth of July at home in Florida. The parade grows every year in Grayton Beach, and the celebration on the beach gets even more fun!” Kelley said. “Our friends always set up a huge flag in front of their driveway, so during the afternoon when everyone was at the beach, we did one quick performance shot for this music video to tie it all in with the great footage we captured of families and friends celebrating, soaking up the Florida sun, and giving thanks to our service members. I just love our town – good times, good vibez, and good people.”
