Carly Pearce and Michael Ray celebrated a special moment in their relationship on Monday and they did it in the most adorable way possible.
To toast their first anniversary as a couple, the lovebirds returned to the spot of their first date, The Nashville Palace. Situated across from the Grand Ole Opry, The Nashville Palace is a rustic honky-tonk that has previously hosted performances from stars like Randy Travis and George Jones.
The pair documented the occasion on Instagram, each sharing a sweet message for each other.
“5 hours together total this week, so we spent them celebrating our first year together,” Pearce wrote. “I love you more than anything in this world, Michael. Ended our night where it all began. I wish I could go back in time and tell that girl sitting at the bar listening to old school country music with that boy hoping he’d keep his arm around her that this was going to be the night that changed her life forever…. ♥️”
Ray shared a similar statement, writing, “Carly you’re my foundation in life and I can’t wait for 99 more years with you. Thank you for choosing me, you’re the gift I’ll never know how I deserved. I love you forever and a day.”
After their sweet celebration, Pearce and Ray returned to the road for their respective tours.
The couple plans to wed sometime this year. Earlier this month, Pearce told People that they were “getting close” to finalizing their wedding plans. She also revealed that it will be an intimate affair, attended by their “close family and friends” only.
