Carly Pearce recently took to Instagram to give fans a glimpse into what a typical day looks like for her as she prepared to take the stage of the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville for the Grand Ole Opry.
“First show of 2023 at @theryman with the @opry calls for a ✨Day In The Life✨,” she wrote in her caption.
The country star began her day with some coffee, a workout at Orange Theory and of course, a smoothie to refuel. Then, she did her skincare routine before making her way to rehearsals and getting in-ear monitors.
“If y’all have never had that, it’s disgusting getting that in your ear,” she shared while filming the process.
Of course, Pearce also had to get in a facetime with her dogs, Johnny and June. After having a chat with her four-legged friends, Pearce showed off the process of getting into full glam for her performance, which includes hair extensions and some assistance from a makeup artist.
Before hitting the stage, Pearce had a few things left on her to-do list. She got pre-show drinks with her boyfriend, Nashville Realtor and former MLB player Riley King, and even squeezed in a few interviews related to her recent GRAMMY nomination. Pearce is among this year’s nominees for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for her duet with Ashley McBryde, “Never Wanted To Be That Girl.”
Finally, it was time for the country star to put on her white boots and stunning green dress and get some last-minute rehearsals done.
“Getting all ready for my show at the Ryman with the Grand Ole Opry. Gotta punch the band member to get pumped. Oh, walking down the stairs to the stage, there’s another band member,” she shared.
While making her way to the stage, Carly Pearce also passed by country music legend Ricky Skaggs, who eventually joined her in singing “Dear Miss Loretta,” which was inspired by the late Loretta Lynn.
“Walking onto the Ryman stage, very first show of 2023. Sing, sing, sing. Grand Ole Opry is my favorite. And then you never know what’s gonna happen. Wow, Ricky Skaggs comes out and sings my song, ‘Dear Miss Loretta’ with me. Just a typical day guys, I’m blessed,” she said before signing off for the day.
This song is featured in Pearce’s album, 29: Written In Stone, along with her latest single, “What He Didn’t Do,” which country radio insider Chris Owen revealed is currently sitting in the top 15 on the charts.
He wrote, “’What He Didn’t Do’ by @carlypearce climbs one spot to #11 on Mediabase this week. 600 spins gained this week. Big conversions.”
This week, Carly Pearce be heading to Riviera Maya, Mexico to finally get to be part of Luke Bryan’s annual Crash My Playa event.
“I’ve been telling Luke for years I want to go to Crash My Playa. And so, he told me, ‘Alright, you’re gonna go. I promise, I promise.’ I always have FOMO that I’m not there, and so I’m really excited to go,” she shared. “Luke is one of the craziest, funniest people I’ve ever met in my life, so I can only imagine what you do when you get Luke down with tons of tequila and a beach. So, I can’t wait.”
The festival, which is held January 19 – 22, will also include performances by Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Cole Swindell, Ashley McBryde, Brian Kelley, Chase Rice, Dylan Scott and more.
