Carly Pearce landed an opening slot on one of this summer’s hottest tours – the Ride All Night Tour with Jason Aldean – and she’s having the time of her life on the road.
The singer/songwriter says Aldean and his crew, as well as her fellow tour mate Kane Brown, make her feel right at home.
“He is one of the most genuinely nice, down to earth, welcoming people I’ve ever met,” Pearce says of Aldean. “I’ve been really lucky to have great – I call them touring uncles, with Blake Shelton and Rascal Flatts and Luke Bryan. But he’s awesome and his whole band is so awesome, and his crew. And they’ve been really, really good to us. Kane is very, very sweet too, and we’re having a really good time.”
The “Closer To You” singer admits Aldean’s fan base varies a bit from her typical audience, but she’s happy to add a female voice to the lineup.
“It’s a little bit of a different crowd for me, which I think it’s a little edgier than maybe the tours that I’ve been a part of before,” she shares. “So I feel like I’m bringing a little bit of a sparkle flavor to things that maybe he hasn’t had before.”
As she makes her way around the country with Aldean, Pearce’s latest single, “Closer To You,” continues to climb the charts at country radio. The track is the lead release from Pearce’s much-anticipated sophomore album, which is expected to drop later this year.
