Over the weekend, Kane Brown performed his 3X Platinum hit “Thank God” for his fans overseas during his set at the C2C: Country 2 Country festival. This performance looked a bit different than usual as Carly Pearce made a surprise appearance to fill in for Brown’s wife, and duet partner, Katelyn Brown, who couldn’t make the trip as she is currently pregnant with their third child.

Brown began delivering the love-filled tune alone on stage as normal and captivating the crowd with the opening verse that finds him gushing over his other half. Then just as he got to the end of the chorus, another female voice appeared behind him. Pearce made her way in front of the screaming fans and offered her silky vocals to the tender lyrics, promoting a sing-along with the audience.

In the days following the memorable performance, Pearce shared a clip from the evening to her Instagram story and expressed her excitement over the opportunity to sing such a personal song alongside Brown.

She wrote, “I also love Kane Brown & Katelyn Brown so much. I was so happy to sing this one this weekend while Katelyn is getting closer & closer to baby #3.”

Katelyn then took to her Instagram stories to respond with a heartfelt message to Pearce, letting her and the rest of the world know how big of fan she is.

“Omgg 😍u already know I’m a BIG Carly Pearce fan 🙌🏼🥹SOOO obsessed with this !!!! You are FLAWLESS 🙌🏼,” Katelyn said.

Kane and Katelyn are currently parents to two daughters, Kingsley Rose, 4, and Kodi Jane, 2, and they are expecting to welcome their third child, a baby boy, later this year.

Pearce Debuts Two Unreleased Songs

Not only did Carly Pearce make a statement during Brown’s set, but she also had several buzz-worthy moments during her own headline set at the C2C Festival.

According to a video captured by fans in the Glasgow arena, the Kentucky native shared a glimpse into what’s to come on her upcoming Hummingbird album with a performance two new unreleased tracks.

“Truck On Fire”

One was a revengeful narrative titled, “Truck On Fire,” which Pearce co-wrote with Justin Ebach and Lady A’s Charles Kelley. With this tune, the female songstress set the stage ablaze as she sang the high-energy, red-hot lyrics amid the hard-hitting instrumentals.

“My Place”

The other surprise delivery titled “My Place” slowed things down and showcased her impressive vocal range. In the midst of her performance, Pearce stopped to take in the rumbling screams from the audience of “7,500 beautiful country music fans” who took in every note of the painfully emotional story.

Sharing the special moment on Instagram, Pearce wrote, “Thank you for giving me so much love & for listening to my stories the way you did tonight & every night this weekend during @c2cfestival. It was truly so special ❤️❤️❤️”

“Hummingbird” Coming June 14

The GRAMMY, CMA, and ACM-Award-winning singer/songwriter’s fourth studio album is slated to drop on June 14. The title track, “Hummingbird” is out now and set the tone for the upcoming collection as it dons a powerful story of resilience following the devastating pain of heartbreak.

Of the song, Pearce shares, “When I wrote this song, I knew I wanted this to be the title of the album. This song plays on my bluegrass roots but also lyrically tells the story of the journey I am on of finding love. This is the most unapologetically ‘Carly’ song I’ve ever written.”

The project is also set to include Pearce’s latest single, the Top 20 and climbing “we don’t fight anymore” featuring Chris Stapleton as well as the previously released “country music made me do it” and “heels over head.”

Hummingbird follows the success of Pearce’s latest studio album, 29: Written In Stone, which was released in 2021, and documented an incredibly personal time in her life. The new collection marks the start of a whole new chapter and serves as Pearce’s debut as a co-producer alongside Shane McAnally, and Josh Osborne.

Following her performances at Country 2 Country Festival, Carly Pearce is gearing up to join will join Tim McGraw as support on his Standing Room Only Tour. This trek launches March 14 in Jacksonville, FL.
