Thomas Rhett is getting fans in the Christmas spirit with the release of two holiday singles.

The superstar recently shared a Christmas original, “Christmas In The Country,” as well as his rendition of the holiday classic “The Christmas Song” with fans.

“Christmas In The Country” was written by Rhett, David Garcia, Ashley Gorley and Chris Tomlin and celebrates everything there is to love about a country Christmas.

“We got snowflakes falling on an old two-lane/ Red-bow wreaths on a windowpane/ Just sitting ’round the fire with the ones who love me/ Miles from a city and the crazy crowds/ Where the pine trees grow and the world slows down/ Way out here, yeah, man I sure feel lucky/ Doing Christmas in the country,” he sings throughout the chorus.

“Christmas is hands-down my favorite time of year,” said Rhett. “We have so many Christmas traditions in our family that include a lot of festive music, but I’ve never recorded anything myself. Lauren has wanted me to make some Christmas music for a long time, so this year felt like the right time to finally take a stab at writing something and to put my own twist on one of the all-time classics.”

Rhett and his family got in the Christmas spirit over the weekend when they visited a Christmas tree lot to pick out the perfect tree. His wife, Lauren, shared a photo of their festive outing on Instagram with the caption, “faaavvorite time of year is herrreee.”

The couple will welcome their third daughter early next year. To prepare, they recently moved to a new home that has more space for their growing family.
