Hot off the heels of his two-week No.1 smash, “Eyes On You,” Chase Rice is back with a new single and tour to go along with it.
Just released to country radio, “Lonely If You Are” shows fans a bit of a different side of Rice’s music.
“‘Lonely If You Are’ starts out simply with just an acoustic guitar, which is a different sound for me than what people might be used to, but it also goes back to how I started in Nashville – when it was just me with a guitar writing songs,” Rice explains. “Lyrically, it’s telling this special girl that even though we might not officially be together right now, ‘go ahead – have a good time with your friends… but when that all fades away, give me a call. I’ll be there.’”
Rice is taking “Lonely If You Are,” and his long list of other hits, on the road this fall with his headlining AM/PM Tour. Launching August 1 in East Providence, RI, the tour was named after a line in the chorus of the new single.
“It could be A.M. or P.M. / It could be middle of the week or the weekend / Baby it ain’t too late or too far / Just call me ’cause I’m lonely if you are,” he sings.
