Chris Janson is making spirits bright with his just-released cover of Lindsey Buckingham’s classic 1983 hit, “Holiday Road.”

The vivacious song, produced by Janson and Julian Raymond, holds nostalgic significance for many people, including the country star himself. It illuminates his resonant voice and profound drumming skills, while also bringing fans the hap-hap-happiest Christmas feeling.

“I’ve always loved Christmas Vacation, the movie,” Janson said in a statement. “This song reminds me of that. Hope everyone loves it. I also played drums on this track!”

Bringing The Tune To Life In A Festive Music Video

Janson’s coinciding music video was released on October 27, delivering even more holiday cheer to fans.

As the video kicks off, the sound of jingle bells fill the air and Janson is displayed holding a green long-sleeved Bass Pro Shop shirt up. Following this scene, the “Good Vibes” singer transitions into wearing a green, handcrafted Bass Pro Shop cut-off tank, while energetically playing the drums.

Caroling his way through the song, he jams out in the studio while images of his studio performances flash across the screen.

“I found out long ago (Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh) / It’s a long way down the Holiday Road (Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh) / Holiday Road / Holiday Road / Holiday Road / Holiday Road,” Janson sings.

In addition to Janson’s already spirited rendition of “Holiday Road,” the video concludes with a recording of the festive phrase “Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas!”

Janson will perform “Holiday Road” during the upcoming “Christmas at the Opry” special set to air on NBC on Thursday, December 7 at 8 pm ET. It will also be available for streaming the next day on Peacock.

“All I Need Is You”

Janson appeared on Live! With Kelly and Mark on October 23 to promote his newest album, The Outlaw Side Of Me. While on stage, he chose to perform his leading single off of the album and hit radio track, “All I Need Is You.”

This soulful romantic ballad is written as a love letter to Janson’s beloved wife and it was created to serve as a reminder to focus on the things in life that truly matter.

“When that sun goes down at the end of the day / There’s just one thing I can’t lose / If you’re by my side I’m better than alright / Baby, all I need is you”, Janson sings in the chorus.

“All I Need Is You” is currently No. 13 and continues to climb the country radio charts.
