Chris Stapleton has teamed up with Filson, the original American heritage outfitter, to create a new collection launching this fall.
The country music superstar has a longstanding connection to Filson that dates back to his early days of watching his father wear the brand while hunting. Since then, Stapleton has followed in his father’s footsteps and is now the proud owner of plenty of his own Filson bags and clothing items that come in handy both out on the road and in his daily life.
With this partnership, the “Tennessee Whiskey” singer honed in on the practicality and style that Filson has been known to produce since its establishment in Seattle in 1897. In doing so, the brand developed a five-piece bag ensemble dubbed the Traveller Collection.
“An Honor”
“It’s been an incredible process developing the ‘Traveller Collection’ with Filson.” Chris Stapleton shared in a statement. “Inspired by my needs on the road and the desire to revive archived Filson pieces, we’ve created products that I genuinely use and love. Filson feels like part of my family, and their commitment to lasting craftsmanship aligns perfectly with my values. It’s been an honor to collaborate with such a legendary brand that creates products meant to outlive us all.”
Filson’s 124-year legacy has built a reputation on honesty, quality, and durability, making the gear a supreme choice for those with a passion for the outdoors, especially ranchers, hunters, anglers, engineers, and more. Named after Stapleton’s 2015 debut solo album which went on to earn several major awards and nominations, the handcrafted Traveler Collection fits right into the brand’s mission as it seamlessly blends functionality with artistic expression weaved throughout the stitching.
“True Creative Partnership”
“The Filson x Chris Stapleton collaboration goes beyond a mere endorsement; it is a true creative partnership,” says Alex Carleton, CCO at Filson. “Working closely with our design team, Stapleton’s insights and preferences influenced the Collection’s aesthetics and functionality. This collaborative approach ensures that each item in the ‘Traveller Collection’ bears the distinct mark of both Filson’s time-honored craftsmanship and Chris Stapleton’s creative input, resulting in a Collection that seamlessly merges heritage and contemporary style.”
Before the full collection launches on October 5, the brand released a custom Filson graphic tee that is available now. This shirt was created with the intention of supporting Outlaw State of Kind (OSOK), a charitable fund founded by Chris and his wife, Morgane Stapleton that supports a variety of causes in collaboration with the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, of which all proceeds will be donated to OSOK.
