Chris Young revealed that he has lost 60 pounds and says he’s “still not done.”

The “Looking For You” singer opened up about his dramatic weight loss on Instagram alongside a semi-shirtless photo.

“This year has been dedicated to a lot of work on myself. Music wise AND in the gym. Still not done, but down 60 pounds so yeah… Gonna leave this here,” he wrote alongside the hashtags “cheers” and “Fitness motivation.”

Dramatic Weight Loss

Comments from his followers poured in as they praised his hard work and dedication.

“Chris, your hard work really shows! Proud of you for setting a goal and sticking with it! You look amazing,” wrote one fan.

Another Instagram user shared, “You look fantastic!🔥 I’m so happy for you, keep crushing it!!!❤️”

Fellow country singer Michael Ray also applauded him.

“Keep kicking ass bro! Proud of ya man,” he wrote.

Spending Time In The Gym

Young’s weight loss has been quite noticeable in his recent photos, and while this is the first time he’s publicly addressed it. However, he has often shared photos of his time in the gym, while at home and on tour.

In addition to spending time at the gym, the 38-year-old has also been spending a considerable amount of time at the studio. His latest single, “Looking For You,” is climbing the charts at Country radio and currently sits within the Top 10.

During an interview with Country Now and other media outlets earlier this year, Young shared that the song wasn’t written about anyone in particular, but that it reflects a situation he and many others have experienced.

“This actually just came from a place of, you know, sometimes you’re looking for love and can’t find it. Then sometimes you’re like, I give up and it just smacks you in the face like a freight train outta nowhere,” Young shared of the song. “I think a lot of people have been through that before where they just see somebody walk in, even if they’re not looking for it, they just find someone and it’s like, this is perfect. So that was kind of the genesis of the idea of this song.”

Alongside the release of “Looking For You,” Young shared the emotional song “All Dogs Go To Heaven,” which was inspired by his dog, Porter.

More New Music

With a yet-to-be-announced new album on the horizon, Chris Young continues to give fans a taste of new music. Most recently, he shared the summer anthem, “Young Love & Saturday Nights.” The track was Co-produced by Young with Corey Crowder and Chris DeStefano and leans into David Bowie’s “Rebel Rebel” signature guitar lick. This made the legendary rocker a writer on the song along with Ashley Gorley, Jesse Frasure and Josh Thompson.

“When I first heard this song, I immediately connected with the groove and the lyrics with nods to so many things I can personally relate to,” Young previously explained of the track. “It made me think back to when I first got started playing country dive bars and it was the same kind of thing. I drove a beat-up truck to and from gigs where I played music hoping the audiences would relate… and if I’m being honest, hoping the girls would like it too,” he adds. “Young love and Saturday nights are things that just go together and this feels like one of those big summer songs where you just want to roll the windows down, crank up the volume, and just drive around to it.”

Country Now showcased a behind-the-scenes clip of the making of the “Young Love & Saturday Nights” music video late last month. Check it out HERE.

Chris Young has several tour dates on the books, including upcoming stops in Idaho, Nevada, California, North Carolina, and more. Click HERE to see if he’s coming to a city near you.
