It’s been more than a year since his last release, and Chris Young is officially back with a song that marks not just his return to music, but also the start of an exciting new chapter in his career. Today, he adds a timeless country love song to his catalog with “Til The Last One Dies.”
Written by Ben Hayslip, Seth Mosley, and Jordan Walker, and co-produced by Young and Andy Sheridan, the heartfelt ballad captures the power of an unwavering love. The Tennessee native soulfully reflects on the importance of the little moments in a relationship that often go unnoticed yet hold the most weight, reminding listeners to never take true love for granted.

He cleverly uses a bouquet of eleven real roses with one artificial one as a symbol of the everlasting love he promises his other half. Combining his signature rich vocals with an emotionally charged melody, Young delivers a song that feels deeply personal and universally relatable at the same time.
“It hit me on a winding road just how lucky I am/ Outta all the guys, only God knows why I get to be your man/ So I bought a dozen roses on my way to you tonight/ Eleven real ones, one fake one/ And I’ll love you ‘til the last one dies,” Young sings on the hauntingly honest chorus.
“Til The Last One Dies” is a song the GRAMMY-nominated artist is grateful to have gotten his hands on first, allowing him to add it to his repertoire and make it his own. He did so by teaming up with producer Andy Sheridan to create this song that follows his 14th career No. 1 song, “Young Love & Saturday Nights,” which serves as the title track of his ninth studio album.
“Songs like this don’t come along every day, and I haven’t released a ‘wedding love song’ in a while,” shares Young. “Those songs are a core part of who I am as an artist. I’ve been doing this for a long time, and yet this feels like a new chapter. It’s invigorating for me as a creator.”
This release also marks Chris Young’s first new music with his new label home. When he signed with Black River in late 2024, he brought with him over nine billion global streams, 14 career No. 1 singles, and a collection of ACM, AMA, CMA, and GRAMMY nominations.

“I couldn’t be more excited to tell you guys that I had a great 19 year run with the Sony team, but I sort of got to be a free agent for the first time and I’ve been shown so much love from the place that I just signed, that I just signed the paperwork. The ink is not even dry and I couldn’t be happier to tell you guys…I’m going to be an artist on Black River Entertainment and I’m just really excited for this next chapter,” he said in a video message last December announcing the new partnership.
“Til The Last One Dies” marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Young and sets the stage for what’s to come.
Tonight Chris Young will get to celebrate his new release as he takes the stage for a headlining set at Albuquerque, NM’s Route 66 Casino. The following weekend, he will make an appearance at the infamous Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth on April 11 and April 12.
