The 2022 CMT Music Awards are taking place in downtown Nashville, and some of the hottest celebrities in country music have already started to take the red (pink) carpet.

Little Big Town, Jimmie Allen, Carly Pearce, Gabby Barrett, Craig Morgan, Walker Hayes, Cody Johnson, and Mickey Guyton are just some of the early arrivals to grace the star-studded event before it officially kicks off inside its new location, the historic Municipal Auditorium.

Lainey Wilson, who recently earned her first No. 1 hit with “Things A Man Oughta Know,” also stepped out with her ‘pink’ carpet debut, donning a sheer black top and pants that featured a slit-up one leg. Meanwhile, The Judds, Namoi and Wynona Judd, made their first appearance in over a decade, posing alongside Rapper Nelly.

Also making an appearance is actor Anthony Mackie. The “Captain America” star was scheduled to co-host the 2022 CMT Music Awards for the first time with Kelsea Ballerini. However, that all changed just hours before the carpeted event, as Ballerini revealed via social media that she tested positive for COVID-19. She will, however, still be a part of the show, taking on hosting duties from her home while she continues to recover from the illness. She even managed to make a red carpet debut from the comfort of her yard, thanks to a photo backdrop that dons the same look of the “real” carpet. Kane Brown stepped in last minute and will assist as a CMT Music Award co-host alongside Mackie.

Following the red carpet, country music fans will find plenty of entertainment, as they can expect performances by Kane Brown, Carly Pearce, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Walker Hayes, Old Dominion, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Cody Johnson, and more.

Also taking the stage with never-before-seen collaborations are Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd, Jason Aldean and Bryan Adams, Jimmie Allen with Monica and Little Big Town, Mickey Guyton and Black Pumas, Thomas Rhett and Riley Green, Cole Swindell and Lainey Wilson. The Judds will also join forces for their first televised performance in over two decades.

Presenters for Country Music’s Biggest Party include Gabby Barrett, Faith Hill, Isabel May, Jimmie Allen, Rob Corddry, Jordan Davis, Billy F. Gibbons, Gayle King, Taylor Lautner, Dustin Lynch, Martina McBride, Joel McHale, Kacey Musgraves, Queer Eye’s Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown, Tan France + Antoni Porowski, LeAnn Rimes, Dylan Scott, and Dennis Quaid.

Be sure to tune into the 2022 CMT Music Awards, broadcasting LIVE on Monday, (April 11) at (8:00-11:00 PM LIVE ET/delayed PT) for the first time on new network CBS. The program is also available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+.
