Cody Jinks has built his career on doing things his way, so when he took on AC/DC’s classic “It’s A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock ‘N’ Roll),” there was no doubt he’d make it his own.

Putting his signature stamp on the classic rock hit, Jinks blends his beloved and respected country sound with the intensity of the AC/DC classic. With this release, Jinks turns the song into a tribute to perseverance and the hard-fought road to success—something Jinks knows well.

He has covered the song live during his live shows for quite some time and recently shared a recorded version of the track as a thank you to his fans for the unwavering support they’ve showed him throughout his career.

“‘It’s a Long Way to the Top’ rings true for me now more than ever. We’re talking about a song that transcends time and genres, a song about this crazy business. Plus, it’s fun to play,” he shared.

Fans will likely catch Cody Jinks performing his rendition of “It’s A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock ‘N’ Roll)” and more fan-favorites on his highly anticipated 2025 Hippies and Cowboys Tour. The trek kicks off on March 14 and runs through September 20 (see below for a complete list of tour dates).

“It’s a really divided time in our nation,” the multi-Platinum singer-songwriter acknowledged. “But we’ve always been the type of band where we’ve wanted everybody. And so next year, it’s going to be a statement of, ‘Man, we’re just an American band.’ That’s what we are. We’re a honky-tonk band. We’re American music. You have country rock, rhythm and blues, all in one. We’re hippies, we’re cowboys—and we’re everything in between.”

With this upcoming tour, fans can look forward to the same welcoming, high-energy atmosphere that Jinks is known for.
