Cole Swindell reveals that his next single is going to be a love song that he wrote for his upcoming wedding.
The Upcoming Release Will Be Unveiled Very Soon
The country star recently sat down with Ashley Morrison of Tampa Bay’s 103.5 and shared a sneak peek into what to expect from his brand-new release that’s set to drop in “just a couple weeks.”
“I can’t wait for everybody to hear it,” Swindell said before admitting, “I wondered for a while there if I would ever be able to put out a love song just because it wasn’t where I was in my life…”
However, now that he is happily engaged to his fiancée Courtney Little, it appears that the heartfelt tunes, including his own wedding song, will be starting to make their way into his catalog very soon.
Has Swindell Already Started Teasing His New Song?
For Valentine’s Day this year, the country star sparked speculation among fans that a new song may be on the way when he posted a black and white photo of him and his other half to Instagram with the caption, “You ever seen a prayer in person? Love you. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone. 🙏”
Users were quick to make note of the fact that the line “You ever seen a prayer in person” definitely sounds like it could be featured in an upcoming tune.
One fan wrote, “If you haven’t used the first sentence of your caption as lyrics for a song yet…you probably should 🥹”
Fellow singer/songwriter Meghan Patrick also commented, “Dang you should write songs or something.”
The Engagement
Swindell and Little got engaged on May 8, 2023, just days before the 2023 ACM Awards. They took to social media to share the exciting news with fans using several photos that captured the moment the country star got down on one knee to pop the question.
His post included the caption, “Still couldn’t tell ya everything I said down on one knee… All I know is she said “YES”! 💍
“We’re so excited,” he added.
Little also shared a message saying, “Woke up as future Mrs. Swindell 💍 I’ve never been so happy. I can’t believe we are ENGAGED!!!!! 🥹”
Courtney Little is the co-owner of The Little Sisters Boutique and is a former NBA dancer and the 2017 Miss Teen North Carolina.
It’s unclear when exactly the pair started dating, but it’s safe to say they have been together for quite some time as Little previously appeared in the multi-ACM Award winner’s music video for “Some Habits,” which dropped in the fall of 2021.
When Is The Wedding Day?
While Swindell and Little also have yet to publicly share the official date for their upcoming wedding, the bride-to-be confirmed that the big day will happen sometime in 2024. In January, she took to Instagram to celebrate the start to the new year, which she revealed to be their “wedding year.”
The ”3 Feet Tall” singer clearly has a lot in store for 2024. On May 16, he will launch his Headlining Win The Night Tour with a show in London, ON. The trek will find him making stops in various cities across the U.S. and Canada through July 20.
Joining Cole Swindell on the tour will be Dylan Scott, Jon Langston, Lily Rose, Mackenzie Carpenter, Meghan Patrick and Restless Road (on select dates).
