Before the big reveal, they both took one final guess on if they think they baby will be a boy or a girl. Both admitted they believe it will be a girl.

“I’ve definitely been a little undecided,” Leah stated, but was quickly corrected when Smith chimed in to say “you have not been undecided. You think it’s a girl.”

“I think girl from the beginning, but recently I’m nervous that I’m going to be wrong,” she clarified.

They held hands while taking a few seconds to pray together over the box, thanking the Lord for this blessing before them.

“We thank you God that you trust us with this baby. Help us prepare our hearts. Boy or girl, God, we’re just so, so, so grateful. We just pray to help the child that’s yours already,” said Smith.

After taking a few more moments to soak in the anticipation, the couple counted down from three before finally opening the box. Their faces immediately lit up with shock and excitement as they revealed a tiny pink onesie inside, confirming that they are expecting a baby girl.

“We’re having a girl,” Leah said pure joy radiating from her voice.

They shared a kiss while holding up the onesie to close out the sweet video.

Their caption read, “Thank you Jesus!!! We love you so much already!!!”

Smith also took to the comment section of the joint post to write, “I love her,” amid the many supportive and congratulatory messages.

Conner Smith and Leah first announced they were expecting on Thursday, June 18, sharing a joint Instagram post set against a serene, rustic farm backdrop.

The “Hour With You” singer got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend at the time back on September 26 of 2023. He specifically chose to pop the question on the same day that would have been Thompson’s grandmother’s 90th birthday.

Adding to the already moving moment, he knelt down on one knee and presented Thompson with her grandmother’s diamond ring. Smith then serenaded his future bride with a heartfelt original song penned specifically for her.

“Even before she was my girlfriend, I knew I would marry Leah Grace one day if she ever let me …,” the singer wrote in the caption. “Leah Thompson, Thank you for trusting me with your heart.”

The lovebirds got married the following year on Sunday, April 14 in a small chapel and then celebrated with friends and family later in the night.

“Mr & Mrs Smith // 4/12/24 💍,” the newlyweds wrote in the caption alongside a gallery of photos from their big day.

With their first child on the way, Conner and Leah are preparing to begin an exciting new chapter together. As Conner continues to release new music and grow his career, the couple now has even more to look forward to as they get ready to welcome their baby girl.
