Luke Bryan’s 9th annual Crash My Playa returned to the stunning beaches of the AAA Four Diamond Awarded Moon Palace Cancún in Riviera Cancun, Mexico over the weekend. Taking place from Wednesday, January 17 to Saturday, January 20, concertgoers were treated to a star-studded lineup featuring headliners Luke Bryan, Jon Pardi, Jelly Roll, Dierks Bentley and Eddie Montgomery.

The four-night, all-inclusive concert event brought daily pool parties, nightly concerts, and late-night party sets to the private stretch of white sand beaches, making for an unforgettable trip for both concertgoers and the artists who got to take the stage throughout the week.

“I can’t think of a better way to kick off the year,” said Bryan shared in a recent press release.

Lily Rose opened the event with a pool party, followed by sets from Bailey Zimmerman, Avery Anna, Jon Langston and DJ Rock who warmed up the crowd for the first headliner of the weekend, Jon Pardi. The “Mr. Saturday Night” singer didn’t let a bit of rainy weather dull the fun as he welcomed Bryan to the stage to join him in a rowdy delivery of their country-loving tune, “Cowboys & Plowboys.”

The nonstop excitement continued on Thursday when Rose, Langston, and Zimmerman returned to the stage in addition to fresh new performances by Zach Top and Luke Bryan.

Friday afternoon ushered in a wave of fun in the sun as Dustin Lynch once again hosted his highly anticipated, all-day pool party. He made this year’s party a memorable one by adding golden chalices, elegant togas and more for the first-ever Roman Empire-themed pool day.

Jelly Roll’s First International Performance

Later that night, Jelly Roll made his way to the main Beach Stage for his first-ever international performance. As a result of his past as a drug addict and a convicted felon, he was not allowed to leave the U.S. prior to this event, meaning this marked an especially “dream come true” opportunity for the singer.

“I got my first stamp in my passport book today, y’all,” he told the crowd. “So even though it’s in front of a bunch of rowdy Americans, this is my first international show, Cancun. I got to admit, I like the weather and the weed is okay.” He ended by thanking Bryan and his manager Kerri (KP Entertainment) for making it all happen.

The “Halfway To Hell” singer put on a show that included his growing catalog of hits, accompanied by plenty of pyrotechnics. He also brought his friends Ernest and Bryan out to help him sing his hit, “Son of A Sinner.”

Luke Bryan Rounds Out The Weekend With Surprise Guests

Finally, Luke Bryan closed out the four-day event with a special set, dubbed “Luke & Friends,” where he welcomed a star-studded list of special guests, including Dierks Bentley and Eddie Montgomery. Throughout his lively performance, Bryan continued to shock the screaming fans with musical guests like Lily Rose, Zach Top, Mitchell Tenpenny, and Dustin Lynch, who each accompanied Bryan in singing a mix of fan-favorite originals and country classics.

The remainder of the evening continued with Bentley who sent his infectious energy through the crowd as he and the Georgia native shared margaritas and ignited singalongs with a slew of hits, including “Somewhere On A Beach,” “Lot Of Leavin’ Left To Do,” “Drunk On A Plane,” and more.

Bryan Said The Star-Studded Evening Was “So Fun”

The final artist to command the stage with a set list of even more hits was the one and only, Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry. Donning his prideful American flag scarf, he and Bryan left their mark on the screaming crowd with electrifying deliveries of songs like “Lonely and Gone,” “She Couldn’t Change Me,” “My Town” and “Gone.”

“Jon and Jelly Roll came out and just blew everyone away with their sets, and it was so fun to watch. On Saturday night, I’m pretty sure I was having more fun than anyone out there!  Being able to have a set list that is more off the cuff and spontaneous is one of my favorite nights on stage,” Luke Bryan shared.

He went on to recall the remainder of the evening, crooning over all the memories that were made with his special guests at Crash My Playa.

“Dierks and I always have fun singing together, and then to top it with a legend like Eddie Montgomery was just something I have always wanted to do. I could not have asked for a better group of artists and friends to have down here with us.”

Crash My Playa 2024 raised the bar for future events as it provided a diverse array of spectacular performances at a state-of-the-art concert venue that simultaneously allowed music lovers to indulge in the luxury accommodations of the resort.
