Dan + Shay showcase their love and gratitude for their fans, family and friends in their just-released new single, “Glad You Exist.”
The song finds the duo crooning over loved ones and acknowledging the ups and downs that got them to where they are today.
“There’s a couple billion people in the world/ And a million other places we could be, but you’re here with me/ Take a moment just to take it in/ ‘Cause еvery high and every low lеd to this/ I’m just so glad you exist,” Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, who co-wrote the song with Ryan Lewis, Tayla Parx and Jordan Reynolds, sing on the pop-infused chorus.
“Glad You Exist” follows Dan + Shay’s fifth consecutive and eighth No. 1 single “I Should Probably Go To Bed.” Both tracks are expected to appear on the duo’s forthcoming, yet-to-be-announced new studio album.

Ahead of the song’s release, Dan + Shay shared some insight into the track, revealing the title of the track and a few more details about its subject matter.
“To us, ‘Glad You Exist’ is more than just a song. It’s a message of gratitude and hope. A message to everyone in our lives: our fans, our friends, our families, to remind them all how grateful we are to be on the planet at the same time,” they explained.
In a few short weeks, Dan + Shay will appear on NBC’s The Voice as Battle Advisors to Team Blake. The news was announced earlier this week by Dan + Shay and Blake Shelton during an appearance on Access.
Fans can tune in to The Voice on Monday, March 1 on NBC.
