Darius Rucker joined forces with Platinum-selling violinist Lindsey Stirling to perform their a classic Christmas carol called “What Child Is This?” during CMA Country Christmas on Monday, November 30.

The superstar pairing released the reimagined duet as a digital single ahead of their performance.

“I was so excited to be a part of the CMA Country Christmas again this year,” Stirling shared. “Every year, they give me an amazing chance to sparkle in their spectacular show. This year was extra special since I got to collaborate with the amazing Darius Rucker. Hope everyone loves it as much as we do!”

“I was so honored when the CMA asked me to perform ‘What Child Is This’ and to be getting to do it with an amazing musician like Lindsey is just awesome,” Rucker added.

Their performance marked both Stirling and Rucker’s third appearance on the annual holiday special.

The 11th annual holiday show was filmed this past September, without a live audience and is a production of the Country Music Association.

CMA Country Christmas also featured performances from Kelsea Ballerini, Dan + Shay, Gabby Barrett, Lady A, Little Big Town, Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett and Tim McGraw.

Hosted by one of country music’s most beloved couples, Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins. The one-hour CMA Country Christmas special aired on Monday, November 30 at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
