Thomas Rhett performed his joyful holiday track “Christmas In The Country” during CMA Country Christmas on Monday (Nov. 30) night.

“I’m performing a song that I released last Christmas called ‘Christmas In The Country,’ and I wrote it because we spend all of our Christmases out at our farm and it truly is very magical,” Rhett explained ahead of his performance. “We get to see the barn lit up, we put a big Christmas tree in the barn and everything that song says is very autobiographical to what our Christmas looks like, we just love Christmas time and love getting to spend it in the country.”

The superstar performed the holiday tune while his co-host and wife Lauren Akins sat beside the fireplace in the cozy Christmas home admiring her husband perform.

The 11th annual holiday show was filmed this past September, without a live audience and is a production of the Country Music Association.

CMA Country Christmas also featured performances from Kelsea Ballerini, Dan + Shay, Gabby Barrett, Lady A, Florida Georgia Line, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw and Darius Rucker with Lindsey Stirling.

Hosted by one of country music’s most beloved couples, Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins. The one-hour CMA Country Christmas special aired on Monday, November 30 at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
