Dasha has experienced a drastic shift since her song “Austin” became a viral sensation. This addicting hit single has brought her worldwide recognition and incredible opportunities to advance her career, and this week, she has even more to celebrate as she is up for five awards for the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards.

Dasha was kicking off her extensive global headline tour, Dashville, U.S.A, in Stockholm, SE when she learned the milestone news. However, being busy abroad didn’t stop her from taking a moment to reflect on the incredible achievement she has just added to her résumé.
“I played my first sold-out headlining show of my tour last night and then woke up to nominations for five awards the People’s Choice Country Awards. This is insane,” she told Country Now exclusively.
The California native also shared her congrats to the other nominees and revealed her excitement to make her way back to the Grand Ole Opry on September 26 for the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards.”

This news follows the release of Dasha’s irresistible new song, “Didn’t I,” which finds her illustrating the toxic cycle of a woman who is stuck in a confusing and toxic relationship. While she attempts to call things off, she always ends up going back to her ex. Dasha served as a co-writer on this sure-to-be hit alongside Ben Johnson and Emily Weisband.
“’Didn’t I’ is so nostalgic, there’s something about my past that intrigues me, including the men. In the writer’s room, I was referring to a time months and months ago when I was backsliding into the guy that ‘Austin’ is about. It’s admitting like, ‘oops here I am again, my bad’ but I love how we made it lighthearted and fun,” says Dasha.”
She will continue her mostly sold-out run next week with stops in the UK and the Netherlands before returning to the states.
