Dierks Bentley is celebrating an impressive career milestone this week with the news of his 20th No.1 single.

His latest hit, “Gone,” reached the top of the Mediabase/Country Aircheck Singles chart and Bentley admits he’s in disbelief over the accomplishment.

“I really can’t believe I have 20 No. Ones at Country radio,” the superstar shared in a statement. “I still remember the bar I played in Texas when I found out that ‘What Was I Thinking’ was going to be my first No. One. It’s a great feeling that only gets better with each song that goes to the top. I am so appreciative of Country radio for all the support they have given me from the beginning…it’s been a great ride.”

Bentley also took to Instagram to share his excitement.

Released in late October, “Gone” serves as the lead single from Bentley’s forthcoming album. The clever heartbreak anthem was written by Nicolle Galyon, Ben Johnson and Niko Moon and produced by David Garcia.

“Because I didn’t write [the song], I can brag on it. It’s just really well-written. It’s catchy. It’s fun. It’s metaphorical about what’s happening right now,” Bentley previously shared. “It feels a little bit like some stuff we’ve had out in the past, but it’s new territory in other ways.”

Fans can catch Dierks Bentley on his 2021 Beers On Me Tour, featuring special guests Riley Green and Parker McCollum, beginning August 13.
