Dierks Bentley is celebrating his 22nd career No.1 this week as “Gold” claims the top spot on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart.

The energetic track is the lead single off Bentley’s 10th studio album, Gravel & Gold, released earlier this year.

Throughout the song, which was co-written by Bentley alongside Luke Dick, Ross Copperman, Trent Dabbs and Ashley Gorley, the country star encourages listeners to look at life from a different perspective and to cherish life’s little moments.

“When we wrote ‘Gold,’ I wanted to write a song that captures the idea of enjoying the journey,” Bentley explained in a statement. “The reality is that there are a lot of rocky times that we all go through, but amongst all the tough stuff, when you look for the special moments it can change how you view the world. I know that’s a reminder I need for myself, so the fans and Country radio embracing it means a lot.”

The song is one of 14 tracks that appears on Bentley’s Gravel & Gold album. The project marks his 10th studio album and is a true celebration of the Arizona native’s 20-year career. It also highlights Bentley’s vast array of musical influences.

“I wanted to make my 10th album something I could be like, Hey, this is me doing what I do, all the little things that I love about country music on one album, it’s not as greatest hits, but it’s a collection of, you know, my sound and my styles. And hopefully, the greatest I’ve done it before,” Bentley recently told Country Now and other outlets. “So the 10 thing ended up becoming a little bit of a theme for me as far as like trying to make it a collection of all those styles and sounds. Initially, I didn’t really know what to do with that 10th album. Like, so what? But then it started mattering more as it went on.”

Additionally, “Gold” is the soundtrack for the new Chevy Colorado truck campaign and can be heard in the recently released TV spot.
