DJ/songwriter/producer Diplo just released a new collaboration with chart-topping country star Morgan Wallen.
Dubbed “Heartless,” the new track features Diplo under his country moniker Thomas Wesley as well as vocals from Wallen. The song’s lyrics send a message to a girl who continues to do wrong by her man and always seems to have one foot out the door.
“But, why you gotta be so heartless/ I know you think it’s harmless/ You’re tearing me apart/ And girl the hardest part is/ You’re so high on attention/ Taking miles from inches/ Leave me in the darkness/ Never finish what we started/ Girl why you gotta be so heartless (so heartless) Why you gotta be so heartless (so heartless),” the chorus states.
“Heartless” follows the release of “So Long,” Diplo’s recent collaboration with “Burning House” singer Cam. Both tracks will appear on Diplo’s upcoming country EP, which is slated for a fall release. Additional country collaborations from the project are forthcoming.
