You know that old saying, “she’d literally give you the shirt off her back?” Well, Dolly Parton took that to heart this week prior to The 53rd Annual CMA Awards when she gave Gretchen Wilson the pants off her…um, legs – Really!
According to Wilson’s publicist, Parton was wearing the black rhinestone pants during Sunday’s CMA Awards rehearsal. When the “Redneck Woman” complimented them and told the legendary entertainer that she would like to try to find a similar pair for the opening performance, Parton told her she could have hers.
Wilson drove back to Nashville on Tuesday to pick up the pants and wore them to the star-studded show Wednesday night.
How amazing is that? Just another reason to love the one and only Dolly Parton.
Wilson and Parton were part of the CMA Awards all-star opening number, which featured a slew of female country artists performing a medley of iconic country songs recorded by women.
