Dylan Scott is filled with gratitude in his new song “I Owe You One” as he tips his hat to his hometown in Louisiana and all the people and places that have helped him grow as a person along the way.

Written by Morgan Wallen, Ernest K. Smith, Ashley Gorley, and Mark Holman, who also produced, the song finds Scott delivering a heartfelt thank you letter to the small town that raised him. With a midtempo beat driving the vibrancy in his voice, the Curb Records artist details some of the many lessons he’s learned throughout his upbringing about some of life’s most important chapters, such as love, heartbreak and becoming a father.

“’I Owe You One’ speaks right to me, the way I grew up, and the people I grew up with,” shares Scott. “I really connect with this song and think it’s a cool way to say thank you to everything and everyone who raised me.”

He brings that same humbleness into the chorus as he sings, “Cause I’m just a product of where I’m from/ A little here for good a little on the run/ Late nights countin empty cans/ Just one of the boys yeah that’s all I am/ Cause I lay my head down and send one up/ Pour a little extra somethin’ in my cup/ Doin what I do cuz of what you’ve done/ You know who you are yeah I owe you one.”

This marks the country star’s first taste of new music since his deluxe album, Livin’ My Best Life (Still), which dropped on March 29. The 26-song project became Scott’s highest-charted album on the Billboard Top 200 upon release and has already spawned five Gold or Platinum singles, three No. 1 songs, and two radio charting singles.

In addition to five newly added tracks that fans couldn’t wait to get their hands on, the expanded project also features beloved fan favorites “Boys Back Home” with Dylan Marlowe and “This Town’s Been Too Good To Us.” Both tracks have seen great triumph since their release as they have climbed the Country charts and are currently at No. 35 and No. 42 respectively on the Mediabase Country Airplay chart.

The album also highlights the newly RIAA Platinum certified No. 1 hit “Can’t Have Mine (Find You A Girl)” and the standout track “What He’ll Never Have.”

Dylan Scott’s electrifying energy and addicting sing-along tracks will continue to be celebrated on his current supporting run on Cole Swindell’s Win The Night Tour. This trek, produced by Live Nation, launched on May 16 in London, ON, CANADA, and has since returned to the U.S. with dates through July.

Once he wraps up his time on the road with Swindell, Scott will make appearances at various fairs and festivals throughout the remainder of the year.
