Rising country star Ryan Hurd took to TikTok Wednesday, July 21, to tease his brand new, summer-inspired track, “Coast.”

The minute-long video, which has raked in thousands of views since its release, reveals Hurd driving a boat with fresh lake breeze blowing through his hair. The laidback heartthrob gives off good vibes, as he sings the breezy anthem about a summer romance.

“I love the song from the second I wrote it and wanted to share it with fans,” Hurd tells Country Now.

Overnight, the teaser made quite the stir on TikTok and Instagram and caught the attention of thousands of country fans. The singer/songwriter received high praise in the comments for his upcoming pool-side jam. “Can’t wait to have this on repeat for the rest of the summer,” says TikTok user @allyhaylee. Others begged him to release the track to streaming platforms.

Hurd continued to express his excitement to Country Now and shared how fans on social media are encouraging him to drop the highly anticipated single early. “Feels good knowing they feel the same. So, I think I might need to release it sooner than I thought,” he adds.

“Coast” will follow the release of “Chasing After You,” a duet with his wife, Maren Morris.  The happy couple performed the steamy collaboration at the 2021 ACM Awards in April. The fan-favorite track marks the couple’s very first duet together.

Brinley Addington and Jerry Flowers penned the dreamy ballad, but it was the storyline that caught the attention of the musical pair. “It really reminded me of Ryan and my story, getting together, when we first met,” Morris previously told CBS News.

It was 2013 when the two met during the writing session for Tim McGraw’s hit “Last Turn Home.” At the time, Morris was just finding her pop-country success, and Hurd was working alongside notable names in the industry – Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Lady A, and more.

Now, the two are making waves within the country music scene as solo artists. Hurd is currently performing his original music at festivals nationwide and is set to hit the road with multi-platinum selling performer, Brett Young come September.

The country hitmaker is preparing to embark on Young’s The Weekends Tour with other special guests including, Maddie & Tae, Filmore, and Matt Ferranti.

Fans can visit Ryan Hurd’s official website for additional tour dates and appearances.
