Florida Georgia Line just released a stripped-down, acoustic version of their brand new single, “I Love My Country.”
The new release, dubbed “I Love My Country (Acoustic At Home),” finds FGL tapping into their down-home roots, performing the party anthem alongside their band from their individual homes.
“I love my country, I love my country/ Six strings and fiddles, whiskey from Kentucky/ We keep it funky, we like how it sounds/ Monday to Sunday, yeah, I love my country/ I’m loud and proud, rolling into town/ Hanging out the window, like a blue tick hound/ Ain’t sorry, ain’t nothing to be sorry about/ I love my country and I love my country/ Up loud,” they sing throughout the chorus while backed by an acoustic guitar, banjo and light percussion.
“I Love My Country” was co-written by Corey Crowder, Ernest K Smith and Charlie Handsome and produced by Crowder.
The duo’s Brian Kelley recently opened up about the infectious song and FGL’s next project, saying, “It was super important for us to start to share this next phase, this new music, this new energy, and this song is just kind of perfect timing.”
The country anthem is the lead single from the duo’s upcoming fifth studio album.
