Gabby Barrett may not have been crowned the winner of American Idol, but the show launched her career and her relationship with fellow contestant Cade Foehner. Now, with a No.1 single to her name {“I Hope is tops the charts this week) and a wedding band on her finger, Barrett has the popular show to thank for many of the blessings in her life.
In a brand new video shared to the American Idol social accounts, Barrett is using her voice to encourage others to audition for the upcoming season.
“I encourage you guys to try out for next season because you never know…it could change your life,” she says in the clip with a smile as Foehner joins her on camera.
“Two for one,” she laughs, referencing the fact that she left the show with a successful career and a partner for life.
After beginning their relationship during American Idol, Barrett and Foehner got engaged in March of 2019. They said “I do” just a few months later, tying the knot on October 5 in front of 100 guests in Texas.
American Idol auditions for the next season are underway now. Due to the current situation, auditions are currently being accepted digitally. Fans interested in learning more about the American Idol process can click HERE.
