George Strait is still the KING!

The legendary country star was awarded the title of Top Country Tour at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards.

The trophy was awarded off-camera and announced following NBC’s broadcast of the show.

Also nominated for Top Country Tour were Eric Church and Florida Georgia Line.

The 2020 Billboard Music Awards aired Wednesday night (Oct. 14) on NBC and featured performances from Luke Combs, Garth Brooks and Kane Brown as well as Demi Lovato, Post Malone, BTS, Alicia Keys, Doja Cat, Sia and more. The Billboard Music Awards were produced by Dick Clark Productions. Amy Thurlow, Mark Bracco, Barry Adelman, Linda Gierahn, Kelly Clarkson and Robert Deaton served as executive producers.

The event was hosted by Kelly Clarkson for the third consecutive year.

The 2020 Billboard Music Awards were originally scheduled to take place in Las Vegas on Wednesday, April 29, but were forced to be postponed due to the ongoing pandemic.
