Canaan Smith recently made his long-awaited return to the spotlight with a brand new party anthem – “Beer Drinkin’ Weather.”

Smith co-wrote the upbeat tune alongside Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard as well as Tree Vibez Music writer Corey Crowder. It marks his first release with his new record label, Round Here Records, which was founded by Kelley and Hubbard.

We figured there’s no better way to celebrate a song called “Beer Drinkin’ Weather” than by tasting some cold brews, so we met up with Smith at Nashville’s Fat Bottom Brewing Co. to do just that.

During the tasting, Smith told us the story behind “Beer Drinkin’ Weather” and opened up about what’s to come.

“This music right now is an elevated version of what I was, and that’s cool,” he beamed. “I’m proud of that.”

Watch the clip above as Matthew Henderson, Fat Bottom Brewing Co.’s hopyard General Manager, serves up a flight of beers for Smith.

Fans can catch Canaan Smith on Florida Georgia Line’s Can’t Say I Ain’t Country Tour. His newly expanded role on the tour features Smith with a full band, rather than an acoustic performance.
