HARDY Announces 16-Date Headlining the mockingbird & THE CROW Tour

HARDY recently revealed that his upcoming sophomore album will be split into two parts, encompassing both his hard-hitting rock stylings and contemporary country roots. On Tuesday (Oct. 11), he announced his spring headlining the mockingbird & THE CROW tour, which will continue the theme with support from country chart-topper Jameson Rodgers and rock newcomers Blame My Youth.
Named after his upcoming project that’s set to drop on January 20, this 16-date trek is set to kick off Feb. 16, 2023, in Indianapolis, Ind. before wrapping up on April 29 in Irving, Texas.
“I’m incredibly grateful to be able to bring this record to you next year. Touring it is something I’ve been thinking about since we started the recording process,” HARDY said in a recent press release. “This album is my best work so far. I truly believe that, and I want this tour to reflect that every night. Excited to have my buddies Blame My Youth and Jameson out with me; it’s going to be crazy.”
Earlier this week, the singer surprised fans with the release of three new tracks off his next project – “here lies country music,” “the mockingbird & THE CROW,” and “TRUCK BED.” HARDY jumped on social media to deliver the unexpected news to his listeners through his Instagram story. In doing so, he explained that no one has ever heard these songs before and because of that, he is very excited to have them out in the world.
“I can’t wait. I can’t wait for y’all to hear ’em. I can’t wait to see what you guys think about the different songs,” he said.
In the video, HARDY first gave a health update on him and his team, letting fans know that he is “feeling a lot better” after a recent accident on his tour bus that occurred after a show on Oct. 2.
“Still a little bit banged up, but man, definitely on the upswing, and everybody in the accident is also on the upswing. Thank you for all of your prayers. It’s been a rough few days, but everybody’s doing great,” he said referring to his tour manager, Noah Brown, photographer, Tanner Gallagher, and bus driver, Ricky, who were all involved in the scary event.
These three songs are the beginning of a huge year for HARDY as they expand on his core values while also taking a walk on the wild side and venturing into a new reality. The project will also include his current Top 35 single “wait in the truck” feat. Lainey Wilson and recently-released rock single “JACK.”
It has been two years since HARDY unveiled his 2020 debut album A ROCK, and he plans to come back stronger than ever with this two-part LP. Once again, he stressed that the mockingbird & THE CROW is “the best thing” he’s done so far.
“I had a lot of time to get in the weeds making this record with some of my favorite people in Nashville, and it truly captures every part of who I am as an artist. I’m honored that I get to share it with you next year; can’t wait to hear what you think about it.”
Before he hits the ground running in 2023, HARDY will kick things off on December 1 with back-to-back, sold-out shows at Georgia Theater in Athens, Georgia. The Wall To Wall Tour will feature support from Jackson Dean and Puddle Of Mudd on select dates.
