Hot Country Knights Tease New Song, ‘Herassmeant,’ Featuring Lainey Wilson’s Alter Ego, Darla McFarland
The tune will appear on Hot Country Knight’s forthcoming new project, “MidKnight Rodeo.”
Hot Country Knights and Darla McFarland are joining forces for a hysterical new song, “Herassmeant,” which was co-written by Dierks Bentley, Lainey Wilson, Luke Dick and Jim Beavers.
In addition to penning the tune, Dierks Bentley also serves as the frontman for Hot Country Knights under the comedic persona Douglas ‘Doug’ Dougalson. Meanwhile, Lainey Wilson’s new alter ego, Darla McFarland, makes her debut on the hilarious track.
“Well y’all…guess I had to join this thing finally. Don’t know what I’m doing but ready for y’all to see a little something something I have been working on. If y’all don’t know me… I’m Darla McFarland. Glad y’all are here,” Wilson wrote, introducing her alter ego to fans.
“One of the best gals in the biz if ya catch our drift… 😉,” Hot Country Knights shared in response.
The tune, which will appear on Hot Country Knight’s forthcoming new project, MidKnight Rodeo, finds Doug and Darla poking fun at the viral success surrounding Lainey Wilson’s butt while creating a pun on the word harassment.
“Baby got back / but she ain’t coming back / no I ain’t I’m keeping my shelf to myself / now my anaconda’s lonesome as hell / oh her herassmeant everything to me / just had to slap it every time I wore them bell bottom jeans / lord I hated to see her go / oh, but he loved to watch me leave / herassmeant everything to me / when I hear ‘Fat Bottomed Girls,’ girl I shed a tear / yes I do,” Doug and Darla sang, as they traded verses to the parody track.

The ‘90s country comedy band later compared Doug and Darla to some of country music’s greatest duos.
“Garth and Trisha. Tim and Faith. Brooks and Dunn. And now… Doug and Darla #Herassmeant,” the group wrote on Instagram.
Taking to social media to tease the new song with a video from the recording studio, Hot Country Knights revealed that the song will drop “very soon” and will feature McFarland.
“#Herassmeant will be one of our greatest hits, starting……very soon.”
In the clip, Doug and Darla are seen recording vocals for the new song as the female singer embraces Willson’s signature bell bottoms and Doug sports a cropped t-shirt, ‘90s windbreaker and iconic Viper sunglasses.
Fans were quick to share their thoughts on the new song in the comment section.
One user wrote, “Sounds like gold to me 👌,” while another wrote, “Best post I’ve seen today. Hysterical!”
The forthcoming new project will serve as the follow-up to their debut album, The K Is Silent, which arrived on May 1, 2020. The K Is Silent features the project’s lead single “Pick Her Up (featuring Travis Tritt),” as well as the fan-favorite tunes “Asphalt,” “Moose Knuckle Shuffle,” “Kings Of Neon,” “You Make It Hard (featuring Terri Clark)” and more.
Established in 2015 by Dierks Bentley, Hot Country Knights is a country parody band made up of band leader Douglas (“Doug”) Douglason, Marty Ray (“Rayro”) Roburn, Terotej (“Terry”) Dvoraczekynski, Barry Van Ricky, Trevor Travis and Monte Montgomery.
Hot Country Knights was “formed to be a satirical tribute to country music of the 1990s, specifically 1990s-era country,” according to Wikipedia. The group signed to Capitol Records Nashville in 2020, the same label that Bentley is signed with.
The ‘90s country satirical band will soon join Dierks Bentley on his Gravel & Gold Tour.
Produced by Live Nation, this upcoming trek will kick off on June 1 and hit a total of 28 cities with direct support from Jordan Davis, who says he is “pumped.”
“We don’t care what the tour poster says. We’ll be at every show whether you like it or not, Dirk. Tickets are on sale today if you want to see the hottest band in town, 🫡” Hot Country Knights wrote on Instagram, announcing the trek.
Along with Hot Country Knights, the Gravel & Gold Tour will also feature a diverse group of special guests on select dates, including Elle King, Tracy Lawrence, Tyler Braden, Caylee Hammack, Kameron Marlowe, The Cadillac Three, The Red Clay Strays, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Shane Smith & the Saints, Caitlyn Smith and Hailey Whitters.
The tour comes in support of Dierks Bentley’s tenth studio album, Gravel & Gold.
