Luke Combs, Dallas Cowboys Halftime Show

Country superstar Luke Combs is celebrating Thanksgiving in a BIG way with a performance during Thursday’s NFL game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Las Vegas Raiders.

“Considering I’m a huge football fan, the Dallas Cowboys were always on our TV on Thanksgiving Day growing up, so it is a complete honor to be a part of their 25th Thanksgiving Day halftime show supporting The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign,” Combs shared in a statement.

Taking place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington Texas, Combs’ halftime performance will also serve as the kickoff to the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign. The long-standing partnership between the Dallas Cowboys and The Salvation Army is in its 25th year and has raised nearly $2.8 billion dollars since the Red Kettle Campaign kickoff began in 1997.

This year’s special event will raise awareness for the organization’s ‘Hope Marches On’ campaign, which aims to help those impacted by poverty.

For Combs, the chance to take part in the Thanksgiving Day tradition was a no-brainer.

“Being here, helping the Salvation Army and the Cowboys and just giving back any chance that I have… I’m just a lucky guy and just enjoying it everyday I get to do it. It’s a pleasure,” he shared ahead of Thursday’s big show.

The CMA Entertainer of the Year said that playing AT&T Stadium was a “dream come true.”

“It’s gonna be a great time,” he added. “We’re hoping everybody can watch and hoping everybody can see in their hearts to give a little bit too.”

Combs isn’t the first country artist to take part in the kickoff to the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign. Previous events have featured artists such as Reba McEntire, Randy Travis, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban and Thomas Rhett.
