Rather than sing their daughter to sleep with a classic lullaby like “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” or “Hush Little Baby,” Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany opted to put a new spin on The Temptations’ classic “My Girl” when putting Navy Rome to bed.
In a black-and-white clip shared to Aldean’s Instagram feed, the Academy of Country Music “Artist of the Decade” and his bride are seen serenading their 4-month-old daughter Navy. Jason and Brittany’s voices blend together beautifully as they croon the iconic tune, hoping it will help their baby girl get a good night’s sleep. As they sing, little Navy bounces her head and coos while sporting her special sleepsuit, designed to help infants transition from a swaddle.
If you listen closely, you’ll notice they change up a few of the lyrics, replacing “my girl” with “night night,” to make the song a bit more appropriate for bedtime.

Comments poured in on the adorable clip, with many fans complimenting Brittany’s vocals. The proud mom and former NBA dancer is no stranger to the stage. She auditioned for American Idol in 2012 and even made it to Hollywood. Her journey on Idol didn’t last long, however, as she was eliminated before she had a chance to perform in front of a live audience.
Regardless of how her Idol journey ended, Brittany still has a beautiful voice and it appears Aldean’s fans want to hear more of it.
On top of being a father of four, Aldean is in the midst of his massive Ride All Night Tour, which runs through the fall.
