Jason Aldean surprised fans early Monday morning (Sept. 9) with the announcement of his ninth studio album, aptly titled, 9. Dropping November 22, the record is already available for pre-order HERE.
“Early on I always thought if we ever got to make nine albums, I’m going to call it ‘9.’ It was my baseball number growing up, and it’s just kind of always been my lucky number,” Aldean explained in a news release. “I remember cutting the first album and thinking ‘that’s forever away,’ and now here we are. I don’t know, it’s really special we made it this far – so, it’s more for me than anybody else – but, it means a lot.”
To further the excitement surrounding his forthcoming project, the ACM Artist of the Decade also shared that four of the album’s tracks – “Blame It On You,” “I Don’t Drink Anymore,” “Keep It Small Town” and “We Back” are out now.
Aldean hand-picked the rowdy “We Back” as the album’s lead single as it reminded him of some of his earlier releases.
“When I came into Country music and made my mark, it was with a banger,” Aldean shared. “But we haven’t put out a lot of that stuff over the last couple years. So we got this song and to me it just says what it says: ‘Thought we were gone, but you’re wrong – now it’s on.’”
Aldean is currently in the midst of his massive Ride All Night Tour, which runs through October 11. In December, the Georgia native will bring his signature live show to the Park Theater at Park MGM in Las Vegas for a three-night stint: Jason Aldean: Ride All Night Vegas.
