Jason Aldean was on hand for the grand opening of Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar in downtown Gatlinburg, TN, on Thursday evening (Aug. 3).
Joined by his wife, Brittany Aldean, and youngest children, Memphis and Navy, Aldean commemorated the opening alongside the Mayor of Gatlinburg, the honorable Mike Werner, with a ribbon cutting.
The new location of Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar, which boasts more than 21,000 sq. feet and three levels, will bring 125 new jobs to the area.
After the ceremonial ribbon-cutting event, Aldean surprised attendees with a 35-minute set that featured several of his chart-topping singles as well as “Try That In A Small Town,” his current Billboard Hot 100 No.1.
The multi-level establishment encompasses a restaurant floor, which boasts the renowned John Deere 4020 Tractor Bar, paying homage to the artist’s iconic song “Big Green Tractor,” as well as a rooftop deck offering picturesque views of the smoky mountains.
Each level will showcase photographs and memorabilia from Jason Aldean’s career, while also housing a breakfast diner and a boutique gift shop.
Collaborating with Chef Tomasz Wosiak, the vice president of culinary development for TC Restaurant Group, Jason Aldean meticulously curated the menu, which includes hearty, beloved family favorites from his childhood such as “Mama Aldean’s Peach Cobbler” and “Grandma’s Pot Roast.”
Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar will be situated in the heart of Gatlinburg, just one block away from the popular breakfast eatery, Pancake Pantry.
The Parkway, also known as U.S. Highway 441, is a popular tourist area in the Smokey Mountains that also features dozens of small shops, theaters, attractions, eateries and more.
The new East Tennessee location follows the 2018 opening of Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar in Nashville, which was formerly the home of Tequila Cowboy. The Nashville location is located at 307 Broadway and boasts over 27,000 square feet with four levels and six bars.
The bar and restaurant is one of the most popular stops on Broadway. The main menu was created by Jason Aldean with Chef Tomasz Wosiak and includes Southern-style dishes such as Jason’s Mac & Cheese, Southern Meatloaf, Country Cornbread, Chicken Wings, and a Nashville Hot Chicken salad.
Additionally, The Food Basket menu includes bar favorites like Fried Pickles, Dry Rub Wings, and a Classic Cheeseburger.
This marks the second location of Jason Aldean’s Kitchen and Rooftop Bar. Additional locations are expected to be announced later in 2023.
Jason Aldean is currently in the midst of his Highway Desperado Tour, which kicked off on July 14 at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, NY.
Produced by Live Nation, the 39-city headlining tour will make stops across the U.S. in Atlanta, Charlotte, Phoenix and more. The trek is expected to come to a close in Tampa at MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre on October 28.
Mitchell Tenpenny and Corey Kent serve as support on the run.
Additionally, Jason Aldean is also scheduled to perform at A Covenant Knight at the Grand Ole Opry House in support of The Covenant School. The benefit will feature performances by Aldean, Morgan Wallen, Anne Wilson, Brandon Heath, Jeffrey Steele, Lee Brice, Maddie & Tae, NEEDTOBREATHE, Old Dominion, and Zach Williams.
Hosted by Storme Warren, the two-hour event comes just nearly five months after The Covenant School tragedy and marks the beginning of a new school year for the students and faculty.
